PRECIOUS MEMORIES OF MAMA RHODA AND DADA CYRIL'S

GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

HELD ON SUNDAY 11TH JUNE, 1989 AT 5.30 PM

AT ST. CHRISTOPHER'S CHURCH, SYNDAL, MELBOURNE

(ACTUAL DATE OF WEDDING ANNIVERSARY IS 7TH JUNE 1989)

A wonderful and memorable milestone in the lives of Mama Rhoda and Dada Cyril who fulfilled their commitment to each other which they pledged on 7th June 1939, at Infant Jesus Pro-Cathedral, Tangasseri  "To have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse. For richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part.”

Although their marriage had its challenges yet they achieved this milestone to celebrate this wonderful day and blessing - their 50th wedding anniversary.  A precious memory that we will never forget!  Family, relatives and friends attended and expressed their love and best wishes to Mama Rhoda and Dada Cyril. We were honoured to have  Dr. Michael Wooldridge - MP, grace the occasion on behalf of the Australian Parliament.

A lettergram was received from Bob Hawke, Prime Minister of Australia.  Several letters of congratulations were also received from Dr. John N Button, The Senate, Parliament of Australia, Dr. Brian Mier, M.L.C.  Parliament of Australia, other Members of Parliament, various Institutions including family and friends who were unable to attend.
