The first picture above was taken at Michael & Carlene's wedding while they were waiting in the foyer.
Mama Rhoda attended The Glen Waverley Christian Church with her friends in this picture. Initially Brian and Della used to take her to church for many years but later Margaret took her to church as Brian and Della moved on to One Community Church. Mum's life was one of spirituality, discipline and of a strong mind. She was a self-sacrificing mother. Mama Rhoda initiated the family Prayer Group Meetings which was also extended to the church family and friends. These meetings are still continuing with Brian leading them. Mama Rhoda used to hold a Thursday meeting with the group above and they used to worship together with song and prayer. I remember even when mum was about 90+ she used to prepare tea/coffee for the group. We praise God for this precious woman of God, Mama Rhoda.

Dr. Olive Gonzago visited Mama Rhoda in 2008. Mama Rhoda was loved and respected by many. Dr. Olive Gonzago (now Dr. Olive Fernandez) is Dan Gonzago's daughter. Dan Gonzago was a good friend of the family of Aunty Irene who is Dada Cyril's sister.

RELATIONSHIP:
Lourdes (Loody) Andrews is mum's first cousin. Loody's mother and Mama Rhoda's father Terrence Fernandez are brother and sister. Kay McKertich in the Blue dress above is Loody's sister.
Yvonne Lawless & Bertha Davitt (from right to left in the picture above) are sisters.
Mama Rhoda is also related to Yvonne and Bertha as first cousins, as Mama Rhoda's father and Yvonne & Bertha's father Edwin Fernandez are brothers.
Aunty Rita, second from left in the Red coat is mum's first cousin. Mama Rhoda's father and Aunty Rita's mother Adelaide Ford (maiden name Fernandez) are brother and sister.
This picture was taken on 28th April 2013 at Loody's 90th birthday held at 35 Wicklow Avenue, Croydon, Victoria.
Della and Brian had taken Mama Rhoda and Aunty Rita to this 90th birthday celebration. Mama Rhoda was 94 years (young) in this picture. She thoroughly enjoyed the celebration and meeting with her cousins and friends. A very memorable day.
Loody was surprised and happy to see Mama Rhoda at her 90th birthday celebration and I remember she commented that mum's hair looked different from the beautiful curls she had; not knowing that she was wearing a wig!! and mum just smiled and did not give out the secret of her wig!! Standing besides Loody in picture one (above) is her daughter Crystal and her sister Kay McKertich.
